We're Off! That's ONE down and FIVE to go!

2026 Equality Insights Road Trip: STOP 1

What a start to our road trip! The REME Museum in Lyneham was a wonderful starting point to our journey. We were joined by representatives from multiple charities with attendance from CEOs, trustees, employees and volunteers as well as a representative from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust.

The room was buzzing with activity as we started the process of co-designing our strategic roadmap as everyone shared knowledge and insights from across the sector and began to explore how we can all become more inclusive and culturally sensitive - better equipped to meet the needs of culturally-diverse armed force communities. There was even time for lunch and a tour around the Museum itself!

We were joined by the very talented Raquel Durán who recorded the day with fantastic visual minutes. Raquel will be joining us on our journey and capturing our progress as we move around the UK.

Join us to be part of the conversation and help us to achieve our FIVE key goals:

  1. Review organisational approaches and assess the effectiveness of current practice.

  2. Strengthen cultures of trust, respect, and belonging across teams and service users.

  3. Leverage shared insights to guide long-term, evidence-informed, decision making.

  4. Build an understanding of the value of lived experience, the power of co-development, and the importance of evaluating the impact of your actions.

  5. Co-develop a strategic roadmap to enhance cultural awareness and inclusive service delivery.

Our next stop is at Colwyn Bay at the Colwyn Leisure Centre – Ffit Conwy on 16 February 2026. Book your free place here: Eventbrite - Colwyn Bay. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

We’ll also be calling at:

Places are limited, so early registration is encouraged! Booking is essential.
